Players of the Week: Week 2

This week was a strange week, there were a total of 9 games suspended because of rain, another game was suspended because of rain and darkness. So there were a lot of players that didn't see much action because of this, I have tried to look past those missed days in figuring out the Players of the Week for Week 2. Here they go.

Hitters:

Rickie had the advantage of playing a five games this week and he took advantage of those extra at bats in winning the POW for week 2. His 3 homeruns and 9 run scored separated him from the pack this week. Congratulations!

POW (Pitcher of the Week): Week 2
Brad Penny - Full Flannel

Pitching this week was horrendous and it made choosing a POW very easy. Brad Penny benefited from pitching two games and won both games in earning this weeks POW for Week 2. I almost gave it to Peavy though, it was a tough call but Penny's Era made up for the negative K-BB ratio.

Where do I start for this weeks category. I can't count the number of worthless outings from Starting Pitchers this week on two hands. This weeks WOW for Week 2 is Zach Duke.
