Did you guys know there's a downloadable database of baseball stats?"This database contains pitching, hitting, and fielding statistics for
Major League Baseball from 1871 through 2005. It includes data from
the two current leagues (American and National), the four other "major"
leagues (American Association, Union Association, Players League, and
Federal League), and the National Association of 1871-1875."
They have MS-Access, spreadsheet, and comma-delimited versions. Not sure what you'd do with it, but if you want to know most HBP in 1947 by a batter over 6'2", here you go.
