Beaver Roto Classics: 1995

1995 was the first season of the Beaver Roto League. It was formed as by a bunch of guys in the same fraternity at Oregon State University and they dubbed the league, PSRBL (Phi Sig Roto Baseball League).

The draft lasted late into the night and included the only appearance of Loyan in the league. Unfortunately, he didn't pay the entry fee and has never been asked back. Maybe someday...nah, the draft would take FOREVER. Jason Prothero (Proj's Poppers) won the inaugural season by having a good hitting/pitching balance. Todd Powell (Boogers - as in Boog Powell) dominated hitting, but couldn't scrape enough pitching together to place higher than second. Jason Hogan (Heros) and Bob Grim (Bob-Itos) rounded out the top four. Bob challenged early in the season then faded late despite a strong pitching staff. Coming in just out of the money was Mike Faux (Fireballs), Tom Grim (Tommy Boy), and Loyan's Ladies. This would start a trend of Mike's teams finishing just out of the money.
